Description

The aroma and fresh taste of grilled swordfish will add a Mediterranean flavor to your table and bring a different kind of enjoyment to your eating life.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 swordfish steaks, about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Step1: Preheat the Grill

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 200°C).

Step2: Prepare the Swordfish

  • Pat the swordfish steaks dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper to make a marinade.

Step3: Marinate the Swordfish

  • Brush the marinade generously over both sides of each swordfish steak.
  • Let them marinate for about 10 minutes at room temperature.

Step4: Grill the Swordfish

  • Once the grill is preheated, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Place the swordfish steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks form and the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step5: Serve

  • Remove the grilled swordfish steaks from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the steaks and serve immediately with additional lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Make sure your grill grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent the swordfish from sticking.
  • Don’t overcook the swordfish, as it can become dry. Cook just until it’s opaque and flakes easily.
  • You can also add some fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for garnish before serving.
